And here were the details of the program:
Children will be awarded $1.00 per pound they donate, up to 5 pounds of UNOPENED Halloween candy. (must be accompanied by an adult.)
Children and Parent will be awarded 1 raffle ticket per pound of candy donated. Raffle items will be donated by local business
Children can make cards to Military Men and Women
Healthy Refreshments will be provided
A good time was had by all!
The candy will be sent to OPERATION GRATITUDE in Van Nuys, CA. They will make individual holiday packages for our troops & ship them overseas to our soldiers stationed in war zones. What a great way to brighten the day of an American soldier! Visit them on the web at www.opgratitude.com
